Our college-age daughter is losing her PPO (high deductible) policy with Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield; it will not be renewed in January. Anthem will offer HMO choices but will not issue any new PPO policies, which allows one to select your doctor. This also affects our neighbor’s son, who has a similar policy with Anthem. Our neighbor just lost his job due to the economy; his company had given health insurance to him, but not his wife (had no health insurance) or son. At this point the three of them cannot afford any health insurance. Because of Obamacare costs, it has been reported that a number of businesses will no longer offer health coverage for spouses. Additionally, many employers plan to cut back employee hours, or terminate employees, to stay under the Obamacare requirement to provide health coverage for employees
working more than 30 hours per week. If this causes America to become a nation of part-time workers, what does this do to the Middle Class? Lower wages, middle wages, upper-middle wages,
higher wages, millionaires and billionaires are good for our economy and give hope of upward mobility for those willing to work for it. Obamacare has the unintended consequence of eliminating the middle class.

There is no downside to de-funding Obamacare and starting over with small bills to address carefully the various healthcare issues and make decisions which would help and would not hinder good healthcare for the nation.
