As a commercial real estate broker I am experiencing the effects of Obamacare already. The number of national retailers expanding, particularly restaurants, had dwindled since 2008 and is getting worse, not better, in anticipation of Obamacare. In my area, many locally-owned restaurants have downsized and/or put full-time staff on part-time; restaurants are particularly hit hard by Obamacare because they often have more than 50 employees. In my opinion, the implementation of Obamacare will worsen economic conditions, which are already dismal.
