As soon as ObamaCare passed, the Department of Health Services came out with new guidelines for women and mammograms – every 2 years instead of every year and that self-exams should not be done because they led to too many false positives.

Self-exam was how I found my breast cancer 10 years ago. And, it would have been the “off” year and I would not have had a mammogram. My cancer was aggressive in multiple places in both breasts and without quick and immediate treatment, I would have died soon after. Now I am a 10-year survivor.

The point is not what those guidelines are now, but that the government, instead of doctors and research scientists will be telling people how to take care of their bodies.
