We do not need reform of insurance, we need control over the ridiculous cost of health care in this country. A recent, necessary, 3 hour visit to an emergency room for my wife generated a bill from the hospital for $6,400. That included a CT scan, EKG and administration of meds to get vertigo in control… that price is unreasonable. The laughable matter is the bill for $6,400 also included a “courtesy adjustment” for $4,200 making my final bill $2,200…THAT IS STILL TOO MUCH FOR WHAT WE RECEIVED! And no one is willing to make efforts to get these thing in control, when there are many things that can be implemented.
