Seniors who have Medicare are getting on the healthcare.org web site and finding out Obamacare is cheaper than Medicare, and they can get prescription coverage which I can’t afford on Medicare and pay for a supplement. And if you want to go back to original Medicare from an Advantage plan there are health questions asked. Also under Obamacare, if you have a green card you can come under Obamacare and qualify for a tax credit subsidy. A green card gives you the right to work, not citizenship. I have a real problem with this government giving illegals my tax dollars to buy insurance when we worked for Medicare and SS. And the question that should be answered is why this president is trying to devalue or destroy Medicare? Unintended consequences, again? Or is he on a greater mission? If I put in my age at 64 {can’t put in 65} and go for a silver plan [it defaults to that} but I wanted the gold plan that pays 80%, my cost is $6,908 and with my tax credit subsidy which is $5,322, my cost is $1,586. This is a lot less than I am paying for Medicare and a supplement without drug coverage! Also the out of pocket is $5,200 and in Medicare we suffer a deductible every three months if you are unlucky enough to be in the hospital that much.
