For the past 15 years I saw modest increases in my health insurance premium contribution, but my copays for doctor visits and prescriptions remained the same. During this time the two companies I worked for absorbed the bulk of the cost. For 2013 not only did my premium contribution increase by 15%, but my copays for my primary care doctor went from $15 to $25 and copays for a specialist jumped from $25 to $40.
