I have a 30 year old son that is handicapped from birth. He has been wheelchair bound all of his life. He still lives with my wife and me. He is unable to care for himself. He is mentally handicapped as well. He has insurance through the High Risk Health pool of Texas and is on Medicaid. He is on a ventilator and has been for over 10 years. We manage to get enough nursing care for him during the hours his mom and I work. We have been notified that he will no longer be covered by the high risk health pool as of January 1, 2014.
Do you think we have any chance of getting that kind of coverage under Obama care? I do not. My wife and I are very worried about what we will do. We almost certainly will have to give up one of our jobs to care for him and do not see how we can fund all of our expenses on one income.
