My friend of 12 years lives in Florida but works online for a company in California. She just began her employment with them in October of this year. She filled out her application for a Florida healthcare plan, because she couldn’t get on the plan with the company in California, and received notification via email 2 weeks later. She was told that her husband and two sons were covered, but she was denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition, hypertension. So much for pre-existing problems no longer being an issue under ACA!
