My husband and I just turned 60. We have worked our whole life and always had health insurance. My husband has been out of work for 3 years and we could no longer afford our insurance and had to drop it. We are uninsured for the first time in our life. We are struggling and barely making ends meet, at our age. This isn’t the life we imagined when we were younger. We did everything right. Our parents who were blue-collar workers had a better life than we do.
