I had great healthcare with Aetna, but I, like so many others, received the cancellation letter that my plan was substandard. The only reason my plan was deemed substandard is that I did not have maternity care or birth control in my plan. I am 59 and do not need these services. It was by design that I did not pursue those services. Why should I have to pay for somebody else’s benefits? My premium has raised to $686/month. My deductible has increased from $3500/year to $6500/year!! We are self employed and do not qualify for any waivers. We arguably had the best healthcare system in the world. Yes, as with anything, it could be improved. This ACA is not the way to do it. Please continue to fight this disastrous act. Thank-you.
