My insurance cancelled my plan to conform to the standards of the ACA. My old HSA plan that I signed up for, had a costs $200/month with a $3500 deductible. Now, my new ACA plan(which I did not ask for) costs $250/month with a $5000 In-network or $10000 Out-of-network deductibles. So my costs increased $2100 per year!!! What do I get for this outrageous increase you ask??? Mental Health coverage, Chemical Dependency coverage, and Maternity Coverage. I am a man first of all, so maternity is out of the question. I don’t have mental problems or chemical dependencies, so I have no need for those coverages either. If I want to upgrade to the Silver Plan to return to my OLD deductible that I had in my original plan, my monthly premiums would be $316/month. I have no idea if I will be able to keep my primary care doctor yet. I think the ACA is a bad idea for me and a bad idea for our country. Please defund and repeal this terrible law which does nothing but raises the cost of health care.
