We should stop Obamacare because it’s going to undermine our economy by causing companies to layoff people so they don’t have to provide them with healthcare. Also, people like my daughter in San Diego (who at 50 years old with a college degree can’t find a decent paying job and has never had a decent healthcare plan), will lose her vision and dental care plan this coming Dec. 31st because of Obamacare. She was only given a one-time $25,000 plan for a major medical emergency. She has not seen a doctor for a check-up in 10 years because she can’t afford to pay cash for it. She has never even had a mammogram. She needs glasses and can’t afford the difference between what her vision care provides and what she has to pay. If I can’t leave her money when I die, she won’t have enough to subsist.
I was shocked when Congress passed Obamacare without reading it (i.e. “we have to pass it to know what’s in it”)! I was further shocked the way the Supreme Court interpreted the commerce Clause of the constitution. How can we citizens be taxed for something we don’t buy? The IRS has no business in the healthcare industry.
When I moved to Midlothian in 2007 from San Diego, my daughter said, “Mom, you’ll become a Republican.” And it’s true – I can no longer support the Democratic Party for what they have done. Please stop Obamacare by defunding it.
