I believe in America and the uniquely American way of life. I believe in a government of civil servants that I hire with my tax dollars and who work for me. I believe in freedom and private enterprise. I do not believe a civil servant has the right or the authority to impose his beliefs on me. I believe that civil servants are tasked by the American people to maintain the roads, the water supply, the borders and enforce the laws that we all agree to enact. Civil servants have no right or authority to compete with private enterprise, or to regulate private enterprise beyond the point of ensuring public safety and those fiscal and monetary rules of behavior that promote equal opportunity and equal justice. Civil servants have no right or authority to interfere in health care beyond assuring equitable care and preventing the usury that is commonly practiced by the pharmaceutical companies and health care providers who plunder and pillage the aged. I believe we need true health care policy reform that makes medicines and health care more affordable – not a monstrous takeover by incompetent and/or corrupt civil servants who will make it far more inequitable than it is now.
