I am a nurse practitioner at a large local hospital in California. The manager of the contracted housekeeping and food service departments stated several months ago that the company will only be hiring part-time employees, no more full-time employees, because of Obamacare. In addition, our personal optometrist of 17 years was forced, because of Obamacare, to install and begin utilizing a computer system in his office or he would not receive reimbursement for his services. The system he is forced to use is so slow and cumbersome that for the first time in more than 25 years of practice he will lose money. Lastly, I have been mentoring a group of college students and those in the fast food industry have already had their hours cut to no more than 28 hours/week, despite having worked more hours than that in the past or being able to work more hours than that now. That is reality, not what Obama continues to state.
