My story is simple. I am a teacher. I serve my community. Under the “Affordable” Healthcare Act, I have had increases in insurance premiums and deductibles each year. Now, I don’t even have the option of choosing between insurance carriers, as only ONE is offered. My premium is higher and so is my deductible. I appreciate ALTRUISM, but not when it is at the cost of MILLIONS of Americans losing their insurance or quality of life (which is modest) in order to pay for a small population of individuals…. Additionally, paying for people who are ILLEGAL, now that must stop!
Another story… My mother is very low income and retired. She was laughed off the phone when her HEALTHCARE.ORG quote was over one hundred dollars more than her non-govt plan. She asked the healthcare.org navigator, “Is this supposed to be AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE?” The navigator began to laugh a sympathetic yet amused laughter. She said, “Mam, 50 percent of Americans can’t afford this premium per month.” My mom is a senior. What is congress thinking?!?!?! VOTE ALL OF THEM OUT EXCEPT FOR THOSE WHO STAND UP TO THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE RUINING THE MIDDLE CLASS!
