I received a letter from Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina today that my health insurance plan has been cancelled due to ACA (Obamacare). January 1st guidelines are to include maternity care (I’m male 60 years old healthy never filed a claim and I get a physical every couple of years) so my option is a 440% increase in monthly premium (an increase of $500 per month which is an additional $6,000.00 more than what I paid in 2013), or go to the exchange. I went to the exchange and it’s an even higher option with a higher deductible and the exchange was more interested in registering me to vote. My Senators Richard Burr (R) and Kay Hagan (D) are not doing much for me but I feel like Senator Cruz is listening and will make DC listen. Thank you Ted!
