I am self employed and have had my own individual health policy for ten years. I’ve always made being insured a priority. My insurer had never questioned a single claim and paid out over $400,000 on my behalf. Now my policy is terminated by Obamacare and I must pay $2100 more per year and lose my doctor and access to the higher quality hospitals in my area. If I want to retain that access, it will cost met $3500. Additionally, since I travel for work, it was important that my Blue Cross policy allotted me to see doctors if I got sick where I traveled. That will no longer be allowed except for emergency rooms or urgent care centers. This is a nightmare causing me to cut back spending in all other areas.
