I currently have the EPO but as of January 1, my employer is forcing us to choose between 2 HSA’s…no more PPO or EPO. I was willing to pay more for better benefits with the EPO. I liked my plan but cannot keep it. The 2 HSA’s are horribly expensive with medium to high deductibles and lousy co-pays. How does one budget for a catastrophic event? I’m almost 65 and wonder if Medicare would be better for my primary insurance with my employment plan as a secondary or should I try finding a “reasonable” plan elsewhere? I’ll be doing my due diligence this weekend!
