Ted Cruz Endorses Darryl Glenn for U.S. Senate

Will Campaign for Glenn on Monday in Colorado

HOUSTON, Texas — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, today endorsed Darryl Glenn from Colorado for U.S. Senate. He will campaign with Glenn in Colorado on Monday, details forthcoming.

“I am proud to stand with the grassroots in Colorado supporting Darryl Glenn in his campaign for the U.S. Senate,” Cruz said. “Darryl earned the support of 70% of the delegates present at the Colorado GOP convention and is a committed public servant and small business owner who bravely served our nation as a U.S. Air Force officer. He is a constitutional conservative with the experience to understand what it takes to bring back economic growth and preserve our individual liberties. I am confident he will go to Washington to fight for those values, and he won’t back down. Coloradans will be able to depend on Darryl to take on the D.C. establishment and join me in the fight to restore jobs, freedom, security to our nation.”

Glenn was appointed to the Colorado Springs City Council in June 2003 and was subsequently elected to two four-year terms. In November 2010, he was elected to his current position as the El Paso County Commissioner and reelected in 2014 with more than 80 percent of the vote. He served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force – combined active duty and reserve military service – and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Glenn is a graduate of Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, and holds a bachelor’s from the United States Air Force Academy, a master’s degree in Business Administration from Western New England College, and a law degree from New England School of Law.
